Our Community Offerings

Community Learning Adventures

Where Community Becomes the Classroom

Our Community Learning Adventures invite homeschoolers to hit the road for a meaningful change of scenery through local field experiences, hands-on exploration, and community connection.

This offering is designed for families who want learning experiences beyond the home, with thoughtfully curated adventures in museums, farms, parks, businesses, cultural spaces, conservation areas, and community organizations across Northern Virginia and the Greater DMV area.

Parent-Led
Learning Cooperative

A Flexible, Parent-Led Learning Community

Our Parent-Led Learning Cooperative creates space for homeschooling families to learn with and from one another. Parents help shape the experience by leading classes, sharing skills, supporting activities, and helping build the community-centered learning environment that makes KLA feel like KLA.

This offering is designed for families who want connection, consistency, and shared responsibility without recreating a traditional school model. Learners benefit from group learning, collaborative projects, special-interest opportunities, and a supportive community of invested adults and peers.

Drop-off Learning
Series

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Our Drop-Off Learning Series offers focused, multi-week learning experiences led by trusted educators, community partners, and subject-area guides. These series give learners a chance to dive deeper into special topics, build skills over time, and engage in hands-on projects with a consistent group of peers.

Designed for families who want meaningful enrichment with a little more independence, this offering supports confidence, connection, and access to high quality educational tools and resources.

Parent Support
& Family Engagment

Building Strong Connections

Our Parent Support & Family Engagement offering creates space for homeschooling families to connect, build relationships, and feel supported within the KLA community.

Through parent conversations, family-centered gatherings, and shared community experiences, families have opportunities to learn from one another, exchange resources, and stay connected beyond weekly programming.

This offering is designed to support whole-family connection, encourage collaboration, and help families build relationships across age groups, interests, and stages of homeschooling.
