What's Happening?
This summer, Kindred Learning Adventures is proud to offer our community the opportunity to learn about growing produce in our community garden space. RSVP to express intrest in coming along for this very special learning adventure how to start, grow, and nurture our very own pumpkin patch!
On this adventure we will:
- Learn about the life cycle of a plant/pumpkin and
- We will start seeds in pots and later transplant them into our community garden space to be nurtured grow, and then harvest in October.
- Work together as a community to water and tend to our growing pumpkin patch
- Harvest and celebrate together
Plant and Play in Woodbridge, VA on June 28:
- We will make a perfect blend of seed starting soil
- Plant our pumpkin seeds in a decomposable pots
- Water our seeds and take them home or leave them with the community greenhouse
- Play on the playground and then head to the community pool to cool off (pool tickets not included)
Harvest and Celebrate: Mid/late October
Weed and Water Days
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
(each family commits at least 3 days a month)
